Description
There is a storm brewing over the sound and it looks like Montauk Lighthouse is in the way. There is a surf fisherman on the right side of the image, kinda hidden by the rocks. This is the premier surf fishing spot in the country along with North Carolina's outer banks. This lighthouse is found at the very tip of Long Island in New York on a spot called Turtle Hill, some 68 feet above sea level. The beacon was first lit on Nov. 5, 1797 and as you can imagine a number of add ons and rebuilds have occured since.
